Open and Closed Circuits

Electric Circuit:

The path along which an electric current flow is called as an electric circuit or circuit. Electric current flows in particular direction. In an electric circuit, the electric current flows from positive terminal to the negative terminal of electric cell. The cell. the bulb and the connecting wires all are a part of electric circuit.

Closed Circuit:

A circuit in which electric current flow from one terminal of a cell to the other is called closed circuitIt is known as complete circuit. The bulb will glow in this circuit.

Open Circuit:

A circuit in which electrical contact at any point gets broken then it is called open circuit. No current flows in an open circuit. It is known as an incomplete circuit. As a result the bulb does not glow.
